Karen Blixen Camp Trust recognized as strategic partner
Karen Blixen Camp Trust (KBCT) is our Kenyan NGO focused on conservation of wildlife and wilderness, community empowerment and education in Masai Mara. KBCT was recently recognized as strategic partner by Narok County, the regional authority responsible for managing the entire Masai Mara ecosystem. This is a significant appreciation of several years of commitment and dedication to a variety of projects carried out in Mara North Conservancy.
Some of this work is about offering vocational training and education for young people in the area in our chef school, others adress the need for better living conditions for the area’s dogs and cats as well as securing land for conservation purposes.
All KBCT-projects are locally founded and emerge either out of explicitly stated needs within the local community or research-based data from collaborations with, among others, the university of Aarhus.
